I always ache when I read hurt!Sam fics but I love them just the same, especially when Gene is there for him, being there when Sam wakes up. Nice job with Sam's pov, the kids being blobs and the description of the pain ripping through him. I particularly liked that Gene had gone after the men in Sam's defense. Great job!
