Lol. Loved that one. Do you know that tale about one of Orwell's (? - was it Orwell? Some prehistoric sci-fi writer anyway) novels being broadcasted by radio? The novel starts with a news report about a Martian invasion, and when some people tuned in on the station and only heard the news report, but not the initial announcement about the author, they thought they were listening to a real news report and started a mass panic. Your fic kinda reminded me of that tale, only backwards... ;)
