 Self insertion fics are bad. 
Stop it.
No one wants to read how you accidentally one day got transported to whatever fandom you're writing and ended up falling in love with your show crush.
Seriously.
Stop.
Unless its just me that thinks this in which case *sigh*

I totally agree. I guess it's OK to write stories like that when you're 12 or 13, or as a joke or parody, but generally, I think it's a no-no. I once read this really terrible Harry Potter fanfic, and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry...

A sudden influx of them cropping up in pretty much every fandom I decided to have a read of yesterday *sigh*
I have no issue with people writing self insertion - I mean I've done it - but you never post them online for other people to read! It should be kept safe for your own enjoyment, at least thats what I reckon :)

Also according the lj birthday calendar it's your birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! *hugs* hope you have a good day :D
