Bless Gene, I can just picture this actually. It's something he'd do, totally. I LOVE that he remembers but doesn't want to, and I love that Sam knows the truth in the end. Brilliant :)
Love it, it's fantastic - and I do believe it's the first story I've actually read from Gene's POV, oddly enough - and I really, really liked it :)
